Adopting an older Lynx Point Siamese

by Tiffany
(Minnesota)

Hi, I found a beautiful lynx point Siamese at my local shelter that I'd like to adopt (I have already put a deposit on him). My question is ...he is 9 years old and has been with the same woman for all those years. Everything I read about them says how attached they get to their specific people. Will my new kitty be able to bond with me the same way seeing he is already 9 years old or might he have some issues with being able to develope attachment this late in his life?

So many people pass up older cats and they need our love that much more.I adopted older ones and they lived another 12 years. It took about a month and we were all best friends. They gave me 12 wonderful years and I miss them so much!!!!!

Siamese boys are little people lovers. I had one that loved everyone he met, even up to his last day. He lived to be over 20 and he was an amazing.

I have two lynx points now, boy and girl. The boy is also very loving.

I think it's wonderful you're adopting a 9 year old. God bless you for that, and I wish you a decade of joy with him!
