aggressive

I have the opportunity to adopt a 9yo male Siamese from an owner who has had him from when he was 8 weeks old. I am told that he is aggressive towards a female cat who has been living w/him for 8 yrs. The owner tells me that the 9yo Siamese is a very sweet cat but has become extremely jealous of the female for the past 2 yrs. The vet suggested putting the Siamese on prozac and the owner is currently weening him off of it as she thinks a different home away from the female would be better for him.

I feel like there may be more to this story -- I do not know the woman and find it hard to believe that she would part w/a full bred Siamese that she has had for 9 yrs.
