I have 13 month old 20lb. male, neutered cat. His name is Oscar. He is beautiful. I picked him up at Pet Smart last night and he has been exploring the house often. He shows some affection by rubbing against my legs and he did sleep in my bed part of the night. He still appears slightly aloof. I am being very gentle and speaking his name freg., petting him when he indicates that he wants it. He has his water bowl, food that he has been on , and a nice new litter box.

What else can I do to facilitate my new pet to relax and become more affectionate? Thank You
