The paw pad color is pink so I guess he really is a lilac that just turned very dark. He just had his 1st birthday in November. It will be interesting to see if he gets lighter this summer.

What a beautiful kitty. I have a Lilac Point who is similar in color to your's. The tip-off is the pink paw pads, as opposed to slate paw pads.
They sometimes also get darker as they get older.

Sometimes he looks Blue and sometimes he looks like a Lilac Siamese.Yours is beautiful !!!!!
