Dominance in the household

I recently got a brother and sister-combination - I've noticed that the male is definitely the dominant one and when it comes to feeding, little sis sits and waits for him to finish, even though I put 2 food bowls out for them, quite a distance apart. Do I need to interfere or what do I do?
