Hello. My wife and I adopted an 11 years old Siamese. She had some history of urinating on beds. After about a month China urinated on my wife's bed. She was diagnosed with UTI and prescribed antibiotics. The UTI seems to have cleared now. Two weeks ago my wife took China to the vet again as she was/is constipated. The vet suggested Lactulose 1-2ml daily. As China remained constipated my wife took her to the vet again two days ago. The vet diagnosed cystitis and megacolon. She gave china a pain killer and anti inflammatory. Last night she urinated on my bed. China's case feels 'bitty' to me. The worst problem from a human point of view is the urinating on the beds. Oh I forgot, we have plugged into the electrical socket in the bedroom Feliway as suggested by the vet. This certainly worked but we were rather slow in changing the refill so there was a gap of a couple of days when China was receiving very little Feliway. Do you have any suggestions, apart from keeping China out of the bedroom about what to do ? China sleeps with me every night and there is no urination. I feel at my wits end - give me a human patient and I am fine but animals nearly leave me completely lost.
With my very kindest wishes
Gerald
