Help

I have an 11 year old oriental cat who recently lost his 18 year old Siamese brother. He was so lonely that we got him an apple head 6 month old kitten. I introduced them follwoing all the rules, but my older cat is still hissing and growling at the kitten. They do eat together amicably.
Please help, I want them to be best friends!
