is she siamese?

can a siamese cat come from a black and white domestic shorthair? I found a stray who happened to be pregnant, so I don't know what kind of cat fathered the kittens. But she had 3 all black, one mostly white with two black spots that look like ear muffs, and an all white one with very light gray ears- she is the one that now looks like a seal point siamese, pale blue eyes and all. Her coat on her body is pale cream with a small amount of areas that kind of look like tabby markings but are maybe just a shade darker then the cream and arent very noticeable. I'm just wondering, cause everyone assumes she is siamese and I dont know how to answer!

Blue eyes usually = Siamese :) NEW
by: Angie

Female cats can get pregnant by different Toms all in one pregnancy. The father to your Siamese was most likely Siamese or part at least and the others had a different father. I had one cat who went into heat one night. We left the window open on accident and the next morning I woke up to find four Tom cats in my living room. She, of coarse, got pregnant and had 5 kittens. One looked like her and the others looked like each of the Toms. When I told the vet he said they probably each fathered one of the kittens. And the runt was probably impregnated after the others so unfortunately it wasn't full term when she delivered.
So... Your momma cat probably had a roll in the hay with at least two Toms. One of them carrying the Siamese gene :)
I would embrace your kitty's Siameseyness ;) and hang on for the ride. They are awesome cats and have the greatest personality!

Very Gorgeous
by: Andria

Yes there is Siamese there. My cat was just as light when she was born and then got darker and darker. Mine is not full Siamese either but even the vet said she is. My kitty was the only one that looked like her in the litter. . .It was very strange but it does happen. My cat is under The story, Soon I will have to say goodbye to my 12 year old baby.
Your little one is very very Gorgeous. You will enjoy her so so much!!!!
Once you have been ’owned’ by a Siamese you would not wish for any other cat.

She looks like my old Siamese!
by: Gloria

She is very pretty and looks Siamese to me! I LOVE Siamese and have had them since I was little. My 2 year old male disappered the week before Christmas. He was a little darker than yours and long haired. I haven't given up looking for him but also looking for a female. I wouldn't be surprised yours gets a little darker the older she gets. Usually by time they are a year old their colorwill balance out.

Is she Siamese
by: Beatrice

HI there,

She certainly has the Siamese markings, but I don't think that she is a full Siamese, the shape of the head is not quite Siamese and she is a bit furry, but certainly there are Siamese genes there and of course they will come out. The reason why there were others in the litter which look very different such as the blacks, is that female cats in heat can be impregnated by several males during oestrus, so it is possible that the mother cat has produced a variety of kittens with different fathers and so one of the males must have been a Siamese or else had the Siamese gene. Hope this helps.
