My Siamese is attacking my youngest kitty.

My Siamese which was my first cat is attacking the newest addition to our family. She is ok with the other two.

I have 4 cats: 3, 2, and 1, and 10 months. My siamese is the oldest and gets along with the other two but has attacked the youngest since I got her 4 months ago. They are all spayed and I have been keeping them apart two by two.

Recently I received a very bad infection from a scratch I received when picking up the youngest because she was so scared.

I need some help in deciding how to deal with this.

Attacking Kitty NEW
by: Beatrice

Hi there,

Poor little kitty. She must be terrified of the older Siamese. At the end of the day with cats it is all about dominance and territory and in the case of Siamese cats, sharing their owner, whom they adore. Your Siamese is just about tolerating the 2 older cats, but a 3rd is over-doing things. Is it a good idea having so many cats, who are largely territorial animals, all together? It is probably going to be all right if you have plenty of room, but if you are in a small apartment you will have trouble. However cats are great survivors and between the 4 of them, they will reach some kind of accommodation, but it will never be a paradise of harmonium!

I am sorry that I cannot be more helpful.

Kind regards,
Beatrice from Wicklow in Ireland.

Help is on the way! NEW

I saw a good show on Animal Planet,
where a cat expert addressed this. Here's a link if you want to see how he handled aggressive dominant cat:

(The show is called "My Cat From Hell" and it's kind of like Dog Whisperer, but for cats, and a little like Super Nanny)
