Proper food

I lost both my cats to the Iams wet cat food recall . They both suffered for a year and a half.Neither of my cats had teeth and had to eat wet cat food . After the recall I bought 9 lives because that was all they would eat. Neither liked seafood . The recall cost me Major medical bills !!!!!!!My question to everyone is what is the best cat food to keep my kittens healthy and out of the vets office.I looked up online and Innova Evo Dry kitten food with avocado food got the best vote. The kittens really do not like it. They seemed to like the Blue Buffalo Spa Select but it did not rate as good.I started with a 12 dollar bag of kitten dry Purina food .They liked the Purina . Do not want sick cats . What should I feed them ? Any suggestions ?

of course i remember Dalrymples...i got my philly inqurier there every morning for YEARS...lets say 1994-2009...and jerry blavat and the liquor store on the corner of 40th and landis (!)...strathmere out grew its 'unknown beach town charm' and the Deauville went to hell) so i sold my house and moved to the ozark mtns here in arkansas; making half a million in the process....now its mountain lakes and catfish instead of the ocean and flounder! my g/f's sister still lives in the apartments behind dalrymples on the beach (nice view)....no obnoxious new yorkers here either...keep in touch! email me at o-zone55@msn.com...i got LOTS of pictures...here and there and of kitty..

Do you remember The Braca Cafe & Dalrymple's Gift Shop ? That is my family ! In fact my grandmothers Siamese Charlie Wong used to run our store ! He was our Guard Cat of the store !He was our little angel ! Its a small world . Where do you live now ?

 cats eat better than we do

I have Lyme's disease and should eat all organic food . My children should be eating all organic also. I always say I cannot afford to . Let me tell you my cats eat better than we do ! Not only that they sleep better ! Each of us has one bed . My cats have one cat condo and beds in each room ! I have to count but I would say 20 beds the cats have ! Of course this is counting the poor babies stuff. The cats love the changing table and the baby swing !

From what I have read most recommendations are for canned food. The commercial cat foods mentioned in the other comment below are good. I feed my cats both.

If you want to go with a premium food these listed below are suppose to be the best of the best because they have the highest protein content.

Wellness Canned Cat Food
Natural Balance Ultra Formula Cat Food
Newman's Own Organics Adult Chicken & Brown Rice Formula Canned Cat Food
Natural Balance Ultra Premium Formula Dry Cat Food
Wellness Cat Core Cat Dry Food

The "Core" brands are grain free and have the highest protein content for dry cat food.

Those premium foods can only be found at Pet Stores.

I use Science Diet Dry food, and let my four cats share a couple of canned foods each day. Which I buy from Walmart.

pearl is thriving on SHEBA duck,FANCY FEAST tuna w shrimp...and strangely PET SMART venison (!) as well as the FANCY FEAST filet mignon/shrimp dry food and some half and half...and ICE..not water..i give her ice cubes..she loves it but will not drink water unless its out of the bathtub spicket..
