Siamese baby scratching and biting

My 1 year old siamese cat literally attacks! He jumps up and scratches and bites me and all four of my children. Can I train him not to do this?

Your post will be rather good and I'm sure many others will find it interesting because it's about a widely discussed topic.. gymnastic mats are best for high intensity exercise

Give Him Play time! NEW
by: My2wins

He needs to be exercised and given lots of play time like a puppy. Never with hands but with cat toys. Get a toy on a stick at the cat toy aisle (think fishing pole) and play 5 or mins two to three times a day.

The show "my cat from hell" on animal planet has a lot of great tips for how to change this type of behavior. You can find clips and tips online. I've tried the techniques with my nearly one year old male and they work very well.

Don't think discipline, think play. This will work. Promise.

Scratching and biting NEW
by: Beatrice

This is not acceptable. He must be taught that he cannot do this! He will need a gentle tap to remind him, ( on the nose)speak assertively to him and he will soon learn. If you keep up the routine and are consistent, he will learn. Maybe if he has been neutered it might help too, this may dampen down the hormones.

HOpe this helps,

Beatrice from Ireland.
