Siamese and her Burmese

My Siamese had a beautiful dark brown velvet nose that changed overnight to pink ! She is now four years old and is pictured with her "sister", a blue Burmese. The Siamese coloring never changed to tortie, she just has speckles on her ears, eyes and mouth. No one has offered any ideas as to why? :) She is quite the team with her "sister". Where one goes, the other follows. Vet visits are always in tandem, regardless of reason. The burmese girl is 5 years old. They are the best friends and their personalities really complement each other. Burmese girl is patient and calm and of course the Siamese girl is hyper and easily startled. They are a blast together.

I heard that means your cat is really a tortie point...meaning she has the red gene. If you breed her, she would have had some flame point kittens. She may have had flame point brothers and and at least one of her parents have the red gene.

My seal point siamese has a pink nose

My seal point siamese (topaz) has a pink stripe in the middle of her nose.
When i asked my vet what it was, he didnt have a clue!I did my own research to find out what was wrong with her, as i had breed her mum and she was from her first litter.I was worried i had done something wrong when breeding!
Anyway i googled the answer and came up with vitaligo.It is a skin pigment fault,she also has pink patches on her paws too.
It is nothing to worry about and i call it the michael jackson affect, as people thought michael jackson was bleaching him self to become white.
He too had vitaligo.
my girl is now 9 years old and it has never caused her any problems.
Although i do feel like colouring her nose in with a felt tip!!!!!!!!!

Pink Nose and eye corners

My chocolate Siamese, Mickey Blue, has the same condition. My vet said it was caused by solar Dermatitus. It showed when he was about six months old.

My cat also has a pink nose.

My cat is almost a year old now and her nose has changed pink. She is a seal point Siamese and her nose was dark when I got her and slowly started changing when she was about 6 months old. Her eyes near the corner have also changed pinkish. I thought maybe she was sick at first.

Yes yes yes. Her nose is light in color when she is completely relaxed but when she gets spunky and active, the blood circulation turns it a pretty pink ! But my Siamese was not born this way... that's what is so weird. She was fine and then one day, pink? Now I notice the fur area under the corner of her eyes is beginning to turn more white. She is my mottled mess ! I too am glad she is unique ! I am very glad she fell into my home and not someone who would not have appreciate her uniqueness !!!

My chocolate point siames also has a pink nose. I think its too cute. That is actually why I picked him over the others. Its quite uniqe. Sometimes his nose is white other times its dark pink :)
