iv got a siamese seal point kitten and my son is allegic to her, is there anything i can do to make my son less allegic to her, as we love her so much and dont want to give her up.
I am also allergic to cats, and was frustrated with not being able to have my favorite animal around. What we are mostly allergic too is the saliva that the cat leaves behind when they groom themselves. My allergist at the time told me that we should keep the house vacuumed well, but also that there is another solution that may also help. Giving the cat a bath, and then after shampooing and rinsing off the soap, rinse the cat with about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of Downy unscented fabric softener with about a gallon of water. For some reason this keeps the dander down. The bath helps a bunch, but the downy was new to me. I tried it, and until I got used to being in the same house with the cat, it did help. Good Luck!

The best thing you can do is to cut back on cat hair in the house. You can do this by brushing her often.
How old is your son? If he is old enough to take a day time allergy medicine those work great also.
