Zander Silk Silver

I have a partially Siamese cat that had kittens six weeks ago. Three were born as pure white and when they got their color in we first thought they would be blue. One did stay as a similar color but with strange marking. Silk's tail is also lighter on top, as each strand of fur is tipped in white. Her siblings, however, have turned a strange color. Could anyone tell me what happen to them?

Your photos show adorable normal little Siamese babies! One is a Bi-color (white on face) and to many people these are highly prized. He/she should grow to be a beautiful cat. The other two are getting their color and color at this stage can look very different from what you will eventually get. We have one Siamese, a Himalayan and an 8 month old Snowshoe. The Snowshoe is getting his coloring on his back and he is looking very much like yours (they have Siamese coloring). It's true that babies can be born with characteristics of great, great (and even)great grandparents. If the blood line isn't pure, if there's a mixed cat somewhere in the family tree, you can sometimes end up with surprises. Like your little bi-color. But surprises make life interesting. And breeding cats is a practice that can surprise your socks off. I guess you just have to go with the flow.
Good luck with your babies!
