Toe Flexing

by Susan
(Smith River, CA, USA)

My 4-month-old Siamese girl flexes her front toes in mid air, a lot. Also, it seems she almost always has her claws out when playing. Is this a Siamese trait, or is it something else? Can they be trained not to use their claws all the time with humans?

Toy and Claws NEW
by: Susan

I have thin leather strips that I attached to a pole . The kitties love playing with it. I don't play with them with my hands, only with their toys. Whenever Roxy (my Siamese) is on my lap, she always has her claws out. I have trimmed them, but they are still sharp. Her sister, Molly (not Siamese), keeps her claws in unless she is going to use them.

Maybe she is stretching. I agree my cats love toys also. My cats are 2 and a half and still have sharp baby claws. They grow super fast. I get them clipped at the Vets.Sow us pictures. It has been a long time since my babies were that small.

Cat fishing NEW

Its a car thing. Try tying her toys on a stick like a fishing pole and she will immensely enjoy the play without getting claws near anyone.
