Will she starve herself to death?

I have a 6 year old Siamese named Cammie. I also had a mixed breed (part Siamese) 2 year old cat when I got Cammie as a kitten. The two of them got along just fine for nearly 6 years. Three months ago the mixed breed cat died. Cammie seemed to mourn for a couple of weeks and then was fine. Cammie has always been very vocal. Here's the problem. About a week ago I brought a freshly neutered, 12 week old male Siamese kitten into the house. I introduced them over 2 or 3 days. Cammie does not like this kitten at all. At first she hissed and growled a lot but did not attack. At this point Cammie seems to be tolerating the new kitten's presence in the house - no more hissing or growling-but she has basically stopped eating. She stays in one of the bedrooms, rarely coming out and has stopped "talking" entirely. I'm worried she will starve herself to death. I don't want to get rid of the kitten but I will if it's the only way to get Cammie back to normal. Any advice?
