Worried about Losing Grieving Girl Siamese

Sir Anthony and Mary

Sir Anthony and Mary

My beloved Siamese, Sir Anthony, almost 19, went to Cat Heaven last week - just having made his 10th life. His sister, Christina is inconsolate and I am very worried. They had been inseparable, sharing not only their mother's womb but often looked like one cat with 2 heads; that's how close they were. While she's eating a bit, she cries a lot, sometimes all night and looks for him constantly. She has that far away look that absolutely breaks what's left of my own heart. WHAT CAN I DO?

Just a thought

Maybe think about introducing her to another cat maybe a year or two older.Maybe a more mature cat would blend better.I would check out rescues or maybe PETFINDER.COM for a cat.So many older people pass and an older cat is left with no one.A lot of rescues will allow the cats to interact. This will allow you to figure out if they are a good match. It could help them bond faster.

God's blessings to your family
by: my2wins

This brought tears to my eyes. My brother sister kittens are so close, I can't fathom how hard it will be when one or the other is gone.

Have you considered introducing a young kitten into the family? I know its probably too soon to even think about such a thing, but some company might be nice for her. Maybe a little boy? I'm not sure, just a thought.

I agree with the other posts, that you'll see him in your dreams. Its a bitter sweet feeling.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and wish you God's blessings while you mourn.

Sorry for your loss
by: Lynn

Hi Mary
I am so sorry for your loss. That is such a sweet picture of you and Sir Anthony.

In my spiritual beliefs I believe that when we become entangled into the souls of our beloved pets, they we will be a part of us for an eternity.

Others believe in a place called "rainbow bridge"

I believe that Sir Anthony is no longer in pain, and he is young and healthy again. I know this because I have seen this place and I know many others who have met their pets who have crossed over. Sweet Mary is also very entangled to her brother. Her being the way she is (a cat) most likely she sees and feels him.

I am sorry for both of your hearts are broken. My thoughts and prayers to you both.

Look for him in your dreams... that is where you will find him.

Last year I had the same situation with my twin sisters.Marchella was sick for over a year. The Vet had her on every med possible. Finally I could not let her suffer anymore. Her sister Rosabella was beside herself with grief. She lasted less than 4 months and had 8 strokes in a row.I miss them so much!!!All you can do is comfort her as much as possible.Give her as much attention and love as possible.Keep us posted. The tears are coming down for you all.You are in my prayers.
