Half Siamese cat
by: Ssang

Well we bought a cat from the vets here in the south of France (she was abandoned on their doorstep in a box) vets said 'probably was a disgrace to owners being only half siamese !)

She is 3 years old, very timid, but so so loveable,we went through a stage of her demanding you to turn the taps on,which we did endlessly, she is the first cat we have had that clearly has no intention of going out, we have another cat we had in England and is now 12 they get on, play together, bicker sometimes, but never no claws.

We are so happy to see on here that so many of you with Siamese cats, also aim for the warmest place in the house, we have a balcony with a cat basket out there and comfy cushion on, and she chooses to sleep UNDER the cushion despite it being 30° odd on the balcony,we have to be very careful with the bed, she will climb inside the quilt covers, and if you disturb her she talks to you as if to say NO, its mine.

So pleased we now know. Anyway we love her to bits and although she is 3, we are getting the impression she will always be a kitten.

Hmmm, my lilac Siamese seems to be the opposite with the warmth!
by: Doris Arnold

China seems to leave the Den where he sleeps on a black sheepskin rug up on the top of the leather couch when the gas logs warm the room apparently too he will go and sleep in a wicker chair in another room.

My cats love the sun and heat.
by: angelina diantonio

We have a loft / tv room in our house. In the summer it is so hot up their no one uses it. Both my Siamese cats love to go up and sunbath under the huge sky window. It has a shade but I never shut it. It always cracks me up that they find the sunniest and hottest part of the house to hang out !!!Although I have heard that cats get skin cancer easily so I will try to be more careful.

Cold cat
by: Beatrice

Hi there,

I suppose that these cats came originally from South East Asia, your cat would suggest a Lilac Burmese, and so I think that they are genetically used to hot sticky climates. My two just cuddle up together together near the radiators and the fire or even a steaming pot. They adore the heat.

Love the picture.

Kind regards,

Beatrice from Co. Wicklow in Ireland
