I think they are love bites
by: Andria

Have you ever watched two kittens interact together?? The play, swat, and nibble on ears and gently bite each other. Mine has done the same. Believe me your baby is not trying to hurt you. She is very capable of doing so if she really wanted to bite. I dont believe thats what she is doing. Its more of a commuincation with you. Sometimes she may be wanting your attention and wanting to play. Or sometimes she may be getting aggitated for some reason. Is she whipping her tail around when she bites? or is she purring and licking too?My cat does not have a mean bone in her body and would never really bite, but I have gotten her little love bites where she will hold my arm in her mouth gently. I know it may not feel gentle and may hurt a little but she does not mean to hurt. Pay attention to her other body languange, her tail, is she purring??? This should tell you what she is doing.

love bites
by: Darnel

My kitty does this as well. I figured it's just love bites. She only does it when she's feeling very happy and loving. So, don't fret there's nothing bad going on.

Me too
by: Karen

Hi Betty

One of my Siamese cats does this to me. She can be sitting quite happy on my knee and I give her a small stroke and she makes an agressive noise and bites me and holds on for a wee while then happily goes back to sleep. Strange behaviour and I have not got a clue why she does it. If you find out can you let me know.
