Kitty Litter
by: Vanessa-Ann

update on LuLu-Belles kitty litter issue....she has now accepted the sandy clumping the end I locked her in her room for the evening with the litter and she sorted herself out..I have since found the biggest bag of her fav brand, although I must admit the sandy type does last longer and is far more economical...though I'm not a fan of the gritty floor around the box...thanks for everyones help esp Beatrice..the Siamese guru!

be aware of her health
by: my2wins

in my experience, if a cat hisses, and it is out of the norm, she may be in pain. Is is possible she has held her pee due to being confused (those crystals are odd) and now has a bladder infection? May not be the case, but just consider that she *might* be distressed before you judge this as bad behavior. On the other hand, if she is a frequent fusser, then all bets are off. At the very least you should get her normal litter asap. Not to appease her for hissing, but to make sure she can pee in comfort, and to remove any doubt that her health is affected.

Kitty Litter
by: Beatrice

HI there,

Your cat is very particular and dare I say it spoiled. However having said that my two don't do wood chips, so it is back to the lovely smooth sandy stuff for their pedigree bottoms! they can be awfully particular. She should not be hissing at you like that, that is not normal and unacceptable and she is picking up on your fear. Don't show her that you are afraid of her, it will insense her more. Be firm and kind and keep to your routine, make sure everything else is the same, same food, same time for eating, otherwise she will just freak altogether with the changes. Don't worry, she'll eventually get used to it.

Hope this helps.

Beatrice from Ireland.
