Carol in MIchigan

We have a 13 week old Siamese female that we have had for 5 weeks. She is gentle and loving and well bonded with us. On three occasions, tho, she has gotten very aggressive with me on the area of my wrists. She gets a crazed look on her face and attacks my wrists with her sharp teeth. She has made scratches. I've tried diverting her attention with toys, and saying NO. When that fails I remove myself from being near her. Any help?

Carol in MIchigan

It will soon be time to spay our 13 week old Siamese. At the same time I have been planning to have all her claws removed. Turns out that is a very controversial issue among cat owners, and some vets.

Lucy will be strictly indoors. I'm not conflicted about her front claws, but I'm getting so much negative feedback about the rear ones, that I'm wondering now if I will be doing the wrong thing. In the past I have declawed front only from some previous cats, and all four from some cats. I never had negative consequences. What are the thoughts out there?
