Dexter the Siamese

My 3 month old male neutered blue point Siamese kitten is a terrorist. I've had cats all my life but I have never had one with this level of aggression. He is not being over-stimulated with petting or anything like that. He will launch himself across the house to fly onto my leg and just start having his way with it. Same with my arms my back my head my face xcetera I adore him and yes I did name him after the serial killer with good reason. I was so worried when I brought him home because I have an old rat terrier that I thought might hurt him . Boy was I wrong. He's terrified by this little ball of fluff . One thing I have noticed is when we finally wind down and go to bed he will crawl under the covers down my side to my toes which I expected him to shred but he has never bitten or scratched during that time. Any thoughts on how to temper this Behavior?

It sounds like his attacking could actually be a fear/anxiety response, if he is as you say scared of your terrier? Jackson Galaxy has some good videos on Youtube for how to deal with this.

Spray Bottle
by: Lynn

LOL... you are so funny!

Have you tried using a spray bottle when he attacks your ankles? Though you might need to keep several around the house.

I use it when my two boys fight. Though it seems to not keep them from fighting they run when they see me pick it up.

Definitely spoiled!!!!

I am in the process of putting together the one fast cat exercise wheel I bought for him. So far he loves the box so that's a plus! Give him yet another place to lie in wait for my ankles.

Oh yes I have many many many many pictures. Videos too. I have the fishing pole type toys which we use a lot, I have interactive toys which we use a lot, he fetches although when he fetches he brings the mouse back to me and wraps it and himself around my ankle and shreds away. I definitely know better than to ever use my hands or fingers to get his attention or make him think that they are in any way toys but he has decided on his own that they are. I think I will try the feliway. I'm hoping he outgrows much of this and becomes more loving than murdering. I have had a couple of Siamese cats in my time, both males, and they were very sweet and loving so Dexter came as a bit of a surprise. But again I adore the very ground he slithers on.

Wow, he is only 3 months old. He must have a lot of energy. You could try to get those cat toys with the string, that looks like a fishing rod, or a laser light. Those might wear him down. Sounds like he has a lot of energy to burn up.

When I first brought my female blue lynx point home, she was a terror for several months. I have a multi-cat home and she would terrorize the other cats. She turned my home upside down for a while. But she finally settled down.

Siamese are so smart and curious and yes they will find trouble to get into.

I have gotten "Feliway" several times. It is a pheromone that you plug in. It will calm him down, and to me, it seems to work better with males. You can get it from Amazon.

Do you have pictures?
You can send them to me at: and I will add them to this page.

Thank you for finding my website. I would love to see pictures of your little Dexter. I bet he is adorable and I love the name.
