Thanks for your advice...shortly after I posted this, her coughing fits have stopped, so I'm thinking maybe it was just a little cold. She has a vet appointment scheduled for the middle of January, so hopefully that goes well. Thanks again!

Odd Cat Behavior

I can feel you with money being tight... although I would suggest having your cat checked. Maybe there's a lose tooth or gum problem or a sore throat. Maybe the food and wheezy thing are all conncted. If you have a good vet hospital/college nearby (we have one in Philly, PA), they usually have clinics and you will receive the most marvelous treatment there... a fleet of doc in training along with the top doc with tons of experience and compassion. That was my experience. I never regretted the 2 hour each way trip. But a local vet you trust can check your cat's mouth and teeth and throat. Better safe than sorry. My cats have provided so much love and affection that I consider them another one of my kids. I would never not take my kids for a doctor visit... maybe me but not my kids or cats :) Good luck and I hope that all is well. Your pussycat is just beautiful !
