Little Cianna

Sweet little Kiki
We moved to Italy a few months ago and are living in an old stone farmhouse outside of town. One day my husband was hanging out the laundry when this tiny kitten jumped into the window of the pig sty and started meowing at him, very loud! The voice on her at such a young age was startling. She couldn't have been more than six weeks old and she was starving. She was also feral. It took weeks to build her trust in me, but we finally got her moved into the house and she now follows me like a puppy.
As I've never owned a Siamese, although I've had many cats, her personality surprised me. I'm so happy I found this site as it's helped me understand her better! She is a wonderful companion and has become deeply attached to me, although she loves my husband as well. I can't even go to the bathroom without her following me. I'm an author, something I think she loves, because she gets to spend a lot of time in my lap.
We named her Cianna, which means, "gift from God", or "God is gracious" in Italian. Since I had to leave my other kitty back home with my daughter for a while until we can bring her to Italy, Chianna, or Kiki as we call her, has been a true gift.
