My Siamese cat wakes me up early

My beautiful 2 year old siamese, "trouble" is the most beautiful cat that I have ever had. I only have one serious problem with him. To start with, I got him for my Husband. Of course, Trouble decided that he wanted nothing to do with him, even two years later. He adopted me and that is all that there is, to it. Now to the problem. Trouble decided that I am supposed to get up to feed him, any time between 5 and 6 a.m. I don't mind that at all. Feed him, give him his treat and go back to bed if I feel like I haven't had enough sleep. NOT. It isn't that he wants to eat, he wants me up because HE is up. If I go back to bed, you will hear him pounding and I mean pounding, down the hallway. He will then sneak into the bedroon, go quietly up into the air, and land right on top of me and bite me as hard as he can and then he takes off. If I don't get up, he will do it again. As soon as I decide that it is a good idea to get up with him, he eats and then lies down on the upper edge of my chair and HE will then go back to sleep. I have no clue why he is being so mean to me when I don't get up or how I am going to stop him from doing this. Do you have any ideas. I have surprised him with a spray of water and that only makes him madder. Other then that, he is a wonderful cat. He is also asthmatic and is such a good boy when I medicate him twice a day. I do it at the same time daily and he will even come up to me when it is just about time and meow and I give him his pills. Please help me to find a solution to his being ticked off at me, if I go back to bed.
