Cat stopped purring

by Reid
(Virginia)

I have an older female siamese cat (17). She has been in relatively good health but is now on pills for irritable bowel disease, and taking an appetite stimulant. About 2 months ago she stopped purring loudly. If I put my ear to her belly I can still hear her purring, but it is no where near the volume she formerly had. Is this normal? She still exhibits all of her old habits, but is now using the bathroom on the floor occasionally when she has diarrhea.

Keeping my Siamese out of my bedroom

by Michelle
(Redmond, WA, USA)

Squirrel!

Squirrel!

My Siamese cat Latte has slept with me since birth (she's 7). I now have an allergy to cats (I have 3) that I can live with during the day, but kills my sinuses at night. I'm not getting any sleep and will have to retrain her to sleep somewhere else (we have plenty of other beds and people for her to choose from).

I know it's going to be a long and loud transition. Any ideas how to do this?

Thanks,
Latte's Meowmy

Cranky Siamese

by Bek
(Qld, Australia)

PLEASE help me, I have a Siamese x Ragdoll, she is devine, full of personality & character...except she has terrible moods & gets a temper like a vindictive teenager! She bullies her sister (Burman) & actually seems to get joy out of terrifying her sister, she is very rough. Ive trained her well...I think...she is water spray trained & knows commands such as off & responds accordingly but she is very aggressive & I need help to manage this.

She is an indoor cat who has outdoor stimulation of an afternoon, endless toys, treat contraptions & cat trees.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance.

Bek

(South africa Western Cape)

My name is Charde I have recently become an owner of a siamese stray cat, I've started to feed the poor thing. I first found it on my bed when I walk to my room it ran out but when I called it back it came back and has not left since, I don't think its an adult yet it still looks pretty small but its not a kitten its in between. Its a boy cat its marked it territory every where already I'm my flat, its really dirty can I give him a bath? Is there anything a need to know about this kitty? Oh and I also have hamsters
