Mar 13, 2016 Seal Point with rings by: Karen Just adopted an 8 month old Seal Point but when I got Buddy home and really looked at him he has very distinct rings on his tail, legs, and body. He looks like his mother mated with a raccoon! Also, his face coloring goes from dark brown to faded out reddish orange. Would be interested to know if this is common in Siamese or is he a mixed breed cat.

Mar 12, 2015 Blue Point with rings by: Lidija Hi, I adopted a small Blue Point who's owner left the area and just left her. Since I have Seal Point and I rescued a tabby, and am feeding feral cats in the neighborhood, she came to me and I fed her, too. Pretty soon she got possessive of me and ran inside. My old (14) Seal Point can't stand her because I am his property, but she acts so loving with me I can't tell her to go away hahahaha. Oh my. Anyway, she has rings on her tail, but the rest of her are all Blue Point; she is getting darker also, since I've had her. The brother of the owner said that the owner paid 500.00 for her, so she must be pure-bred. Any comments on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Oct 23, 2010 Types of Siamese Cats by: Lynn You have two body types, traditional (Apple head) and Modern (Wedge head) You have 4 basic colors for Siamese(this includes both wedge heads and apple heads) they are: Seal, Chocolate, Blue, and Lilac Then you have the Color point Short hairs which by some organizations are considered Siamese. Basically they are Siamese that are not the 4 basic colors. You can have: red points, lynx points, tortie points, and a combination of these creating a bunch of types. Oct 22, 2010 rings on tail by: ptcruisergal I have a 6 month old bluepoint Siamese cat I named Gia she all of a sudden got a ringed tail and i do believe she also has some very slight striped legs when i asked a very wise cat person about this they said oh its nothing she is just a bluepoint lynx Siamese I never heard of this she is also a traditional applehead Siamese. I also heard of this breed call colorpoint cats I'm confused? thanks

Sep 24, 2010 Could he have lynx point genes? by: Caroline Ringed tails on chocolate points aren't common and generally occur if there are some lynx (tabby) genes somewhere in the cat's background. Does your chocolate point also have stripy legs? These would also indicate lynx point genes. It is possible (unless you have a pedigree certificate for your cat) that some tabby has stolen into the mix, somewhere along the line ...
