My 2 month old siamese kitten doesnt MEOW :(

by REENZ
(MALAYSIA)

I found my Siamese kitten Obie boy middle of the road & brought him home & i fell in love with him the minute i saw him, he is now 2 month old & have not 'meow' or even make a single sound & its starting to bother me, i find it hard find him at times since he doesnt make any sound & this is my first time seeing such quiet cat ... is it common for Siamese kitten to behave in such way, is it in their nature? is it temporary? should i worry?

Siamese Kitten Behavior

by Gail
(Springfield, Ma)

My new Siamese Kitten (10 weeks old) like to nibble on our ears and bite at our necks. Is she showing affection as if we have become mom cat? How can I discourage her from doing that? I have had Siamese all my life, and just lost my 2 at the ripe old age of 20,so it has been 20 years since I have had a kitten

neck sleeper

I have a Siamese kitten who is 8 weeks old and always wants to be in my neck area, especially to sleep. WHY?? I have tried to move him away but he just keeps coming back. He does not do this to my husband, just me.

male kitten neutering what's the best age

by LP
(London)

I have two siamese cats. A female of 1 year 5 months old spayed and a male kitten 5 months old. My vet said to leave him until he is 8 or 9 months old before I have him neutered. I was a bit shocked this seems a bit old to me. They are both indoor cats and the male has not bothered the female sexually at all. My vet said that if you neutered a male cat to soon they keep the kitten look and won't get the grown cat look. I have never heard of this before. What age do male siamese come in to season.

My Kitten is afraid of me?Please help!

by Patricia
(DC)

Hi

we just rescued a little siamese mix kitten (12 weeks old) and have him since 4 days. He is still shy and hides very often under the bed. He is pretty scared of both of us( my husband and me). So he comes out to eat and uses his litterbox but doesn't want to be pet anymore. I used to take him out when he was hiding and then wehn I started to pet him he was happy and purring, but today he didn't want me at all to pet him and every ime I approached he went under the bed. I really try to take good care of him and it is my first cat. I feed him, change his litterbox, give him treats,...
Is his behaviour normal? Does he still like me? I don't know what to do and am pretty sad. He approaches wehn I read something but doesn't want me to pet him...

I will be grateful for all advice

Thanks

Pat

Siamese/DSH Mix kitten shy. How to socialize?

by Patricia
(DC)

Hi,

We just recued a cute little siamese mix kitten from a shelter. He is 12 weeks old and a real sweetheart, but still a little bit shy and I was told at the shelter that he will need more affection and attention at the beginning but unfortunately I wasn't told how to help him.
When we arrived at our plac ehe was still asking for his mom and I hold him on my lap wher he was hiding in a little towel. He did sleep the night ok and I can pet him and he starts even purring. He didn't eat today and just wanted to drink some water. Should I be worried about his eating behaviours? When I gave him some treats he ate them with a big appetite from my hand, but then when I showed him the bowl with his wet and dry food he was not really interested.
When I put him in the litter box he did ok and I think he understood what it means, so I think I will continue for the next few days to put him into the litter box evnthough at the shelter he apparently did well with going to the litterbox.

I know I must semm very worried, but this is my first kitten and I want to do the best for him.

I will be very thankfull for your response.

Patricia
