Seal Point Siamese.

by Jodi Cleghorn
(Dallas, TX)

I am looking for a pure seal point siamese. I don't really care if it is registered or not. I grew up with seal point siamese and now that my little dog is dying and I am getting older, I need a cat that wouldn't have to be walked.

Lenny my siamese is doing alot of coughing

by kate
(Wales, England)

My siamese is coughing like hairballs then retching then no hairballs, have recently cleaned up alot of pukky puddles, he has always puked- now i know why, will try soft food, his belly is bloated. he is a scarfer, piggy. just concerned about coughing now, last time i took him to vets, he purred so loudly, they couldn't hear anything else through stethascope. Its getting expensive all these unfruitful visits. I have recorded him coughing, but will the vet just laugh? He seems to be a bit of an unknown entitiy up here in the welsh hills...

Using the litter box

Does anyone have a cat that doesn't cover their droppings in the litter box? I ask because my three year old cat named Mei Mei doesn't. We have another cat and he does cover his. We had hoped that Mei would learn from him but she hasn't. Since she doesn't do it now, does that mean that she never will? I hope someone can help. We can't stand the smell.

Bella's blue eyes

by Anne
(Regina, Sk., Canada)

Hi Lynn
I am Bella's mommy - you have her on your website. Bella is a seal-point tortie.

We have had her for about 4 years now, and she is guessed by the vet to be 8 or 9 years old.

I am mildly concerned as it appears she is losing the " blue " from her eyes. They are more grey-blue now. She is healthy and appears to see fine ( Can still easily chase the bugs in the house).

Is there a reason you might know of that would explain her losing her blue? I appreciate your time!

My Siamese has an awful throaty cough!

by Syd's Mama
(UK)

My little Sydneybean is almost 4, and he's always had this weird, really nasty throaty coughing 'fit' that comes up every few months/ weeks, lasting about 10 minutes.

Then he is fine and back to normal. Eats well, very happy, healthy.

We live in Wales where he free to roam (as I know I read something about grass blades getting stuck) but we used to live in London with a small garden, no grass, so I don't think this is the problem.

We did ask out vet about it, once but that was a while ago.

Any thoughts?

Great buy for all Siamese cat owners

by Lin
(London uk)

I have just bought my two young Siamese cats a wall mounted hammock each. They are great and my cats love them.
I have bought lots of cat beds and cat caves for my cats looking for somewhere snug for them to sleep. Then I found wall mounted hammocks. I bought them and put them up high on the wall above their cat tree in the living room. They love them. They are on them all the time. As all cat owners know cats love to be up high and Siamese like to be up high more than most cats.
I am so happy with them and my babbies look so cute in them.
Does anyone else have any great cat buys.

Toe Flexing

by Susan
(Smith River, CA, USA)

My 4-month-old Siamese girl flexes her front toes in mid air, a lot. Also, it seems she almost always has her claws out when playing. Is this a Siamese trait, or is it something else? Can they be trained not to use their claws all the time with humans?
