The Siamese cat with its distinct color point patterns is one of the most popular breeds of domesticated cats in the world. It is also one of the first distinctly recognized breeds of Asian cats, and there are many beautiful oriental breeds. Siamese are also one of the oldest breeds of domesticated cats in the world. I think that all cats are beautiful, and I love them all, but with their mesmerizing blue eyes, head shape, slender body structure, and their sleek striking color contrast I find the Siamese to be the most exotic and gorgeous of all felines.
I was well into adulthood when I got my first cat. I was never a cat person. We took in a female Siamese that was about to be thrown outdoors because she was not being a good breeder. I was blown away by how social she was, she was talkative, and she was talking to me! She loved and demanded attention, I was hooked very quickly. She quickly got under my skin, before I knew it, she had me trained to answer to her beck and call, and I so gladly did. We were in LOVE! I never knew a cat could be like this... with so much personality. Sense she was a breeder, it was not long until she came into heat again, being around a Siamese in heat was like being around a crying baby 24/7. So we quickly got her spade. Siamese have elegant, slender, muscular bodies. She gained weight quickly, and we ended up naming her "Pudge."
The Siamese will gain weight quickly and show a pot belly after indulging in one day of over-eating. Therefore, their nutrition must be carefully monitored. Those long, slender legs are not made to hold a lot fat body.
Ive had two more Siamese sense the passing of Pudge, but my heart is still sad, and misses her so much. This sight is dedicated to her.

Not only are Siamese cats very loving, active companions, these felines along with their unique feature and appearance also have an incredibly unique personality. This intelligent pet is very people orientated, and sincerely enjoys their human companion. They are also very playful, even into adulthood. Playing can be all fun, but it can potentially result in destruction kitties if they do not get enough mental stimulation. To keep these elegant cats amused, toys, puzzles, scratching post and even other cats will help to keep them happy and content. Many people normally keep Siamese cats as pairs. Two tails are always better than one, in my house, I have a multi-cat home, so my fur babies have plenty of stimulation from each other.
Siamese cats is a very chatty felines! These precious pets have a great tendency to talk to people whom they are affectionate with. One of the most obvious traits is the voice, and they love to vocalize and chatter away at you in their distinctive low-pitched voice. They can at times be extremely loud, sounding like a crying baby. Many have very harsh squeaky voices; others may have a soft meow. Some may be constant non-stop talkers, while others talk only if they have something important to say.

The Siamese is a very people-oriented breed, and as such these cats are not suited to being left for extended periods of time, even if you have another cat. They are very indulgent with small children. Normally when they have had enough of small children, they will simply make themselves unavailable. This feline also has a great temperament with elders and makes wonderful companions and lap cats. While the coat needs little care, Siamese tend to associate brushing with affection and will enjoy spending time being groomed.
Some people describe Siamese behavior as more dog-like than feline. They are affectionate to the point of neediness, they love to cuddle, and you can even teach them to play fetch! If you’re looking for an aloof, independent kitty, this breed will not be for you.
They are highly intelligent and is easily trained, but most become quiet adept at training their human in their ways. They are very vigorous and healthy cats that live on the average 15 to 20 years, and over 20 is common.
